Day whatever

Gained 2 lbs.  drank lots of water went to Olive Garden last Wed. bad idea, wasn't horrible though but not good.  Def. in a slump of sorts.  Don't wanna talk about it.  :( Harumph.  Will accept cheerfully any constructive thoughts and expressions of encouragement.

Sigh.  This shit is so hard.

  1. i just recently discovered that it's not always about WEIGHT -- but exercise. Yeah, i know that people have said that for years and years and years -- but it's true. we've been doing kettlework kettlebells and home and it WORKS! yeah, i've lost 2 pounds in almost a month - but everybody can see the difference. i can feel the difference too.

on top of that, our good friend val, said to me "only eat what fuels your body, NOT THE CRAP." um, how simple is that? it isn't, unless you chose to do it.

    keep it up!

  2. It is very hard and you've been at it long enough for it to be boring. Try to give yourself a redo of some kind, a jump start. Try duplicating days from the beginning of your diet before you allowed yourself more "extras" and see if you get some immediate results to motivate. I have been right where you are and it is really easy to relax your own rules and sabotage yourself. Don't do it! You've worked too hard to get where you are. You can also take a break and maintain (I wouldn't recommend it). Try not to beat yourself up. I is always much harder for me when Jackson is out of school and around all the time. It's an eating challenge. Stick with it, you'll get your mojo back! I miss you on Facebook!!!

  3. To MB and Jamie...yes, I need to jumpstart and I agree, pretending like I'm just starting the program is a great idea. I don't want to pause and maintain - you are right, it would be a bad idea for ME to do THAT. I think I am bored with it and I am bored with the exercise - though I feel really good every time I go. Jamie I don't know if you know that I am going to Curves every single day until July 2nd. I have been going every day for the last six weeks. Yes, my clothes are looser, and I've lost 3". I measure again tomorrow, so we'll see if there's been any additional progress. I think what I may need is to add in a daily walk as well, in the a.m. just to burn up some more calories. I am to the point that I think I can take an effective walk and not die in the process. If I do it in the a.m. early, it's cool and maybe will set me up with a better food mindset for the day. For what it's worth I DID talk myself out of McD's this a.m.! Yea me!
