Days 7 - 13

Yeah, I know,this encompasses a lot.  I've just been sidetracked and busy with holiday stuff.  Okay, so Christmas Day...at first I did well.  I only ate one cinammon roll (very small one) at breakfast and one MR, then we had our main meal around 2 pm.  I had 3-4 oz. turkey, 1/2 c. mashed potatoes, 1/2 sweet potates, 1/3 c. cranberry/orange relish, 2 rolls, water to drink (yea, no greens....everything was done but the turkey we ate in 'courses' sort of and I forgot to make the asparagus).  So not too bad other than nothing green.  Then....dessert, 1/8th small pumpkin pie, 1/3 c. real whip cream (I make it with heavy whipping cream, almost to butter, decadent and awful for you).  Then......the really bad part.....I proceeded later in the evening around 7 or 8 to plow into some cookies (were a gift to the household....the yummy European ones from Costco in the fabulous red tin) and then some slices of Kraft singles (about 3 of these) and about 12 crackers.  So the day ended up a loss I think.  And not in a good way.  :)  BUT....on the morning of Christmas day, my one week mark on the plan, I was officially down 7 lbs.

The days since Christmas, some have been easy, but most have been challenging.  I find myself hungry a lot.  But, I keep reminding myself, it's ok to be hungry.  I do well daily with my water, and I'm trying to be better about eating by 9 a.m. and hitting my 2.5 hour mark for my next 'feeding'.  :) 

As of this posting, I'm down another 5 lbs. for a total of 12 since I began on Dec. 17th.  I'm thinking I could be down another 2-3 by this Saturday.

Today's food:
*my morning coffee (w/creamer)
*bar for breakfast
*Wild Rice soup at lunch (have been adding a drop or two of seasame oil, some tobasco sauce and the teeniest pinch of salt
*oatmeal from McDonalds (thus I left out 1 of my remaining 2 MR for the day - was going to try to skip them both but (see dessert)
*Gardenburger and fresh sauteed spinach (with mushrooms and a bit of diced onion)
*dessert - the Mango softserve ice cream....not bad at all, it makes a TON, and VERY, VERY filling - gonna start using this on the hungry days in the afternoon

Water intake:  about 6-7 glasses so far (working on another 2 as I type this)

Rating for today: 7+/10 (with 10 being Fabulous)

Things I've noticed:  while I've been seriously bitchy at times (I think directly related to feeling hungry....)overall, my mood has improved about things in general.  I'm more motivated to get stuff done, and definitely not lethargic.  And, I THINK I'm sleeping a tiny bit better.  I'm certainly awakening feeling more rested.
